We are so pleased and excited to announce that yesterday Ryko was awarded a new contract as ExxonMobil's leading car wash equipment, service, and chemical supplier in the U.S. and Canada. For Ryko and our distributors this means almost 300 new service locations and the position, by far, as ExxonMobil's leading friction and touchfree car wash equipment supplier.
Ryko views this arrangement as long term, based on our commitment to perform and make ExxonMobil's car wash program more successful. We expect to supply chemicals to all of the ExxonMobil sites that we service. The ramp-up has already begun and needs your fullest support to run smoothly and safely.
We should highlight a few of the critical breakthroughs that enabled us to achieve this goal.
Our service team first demonstrated leading results under ExxonMobil's safety and quality management program, and then built infrastructure to maintain competitive sites as well as our own. Our distributors have served and will continue to serve, with our support, their areas with the same dedication even when local conditions work against them. Our design and manufacturing teams' persistent commitment to quality and continuous improvement have positioned us as a valued car wash partner, where not long ago we were perceived as "not a touchfree company" and "not a chemical company.”
Rob Novak and Scott McKernan have worked tirelessly to remove any and all hurdles and ensure us the best chance of success. We believe this contract will not only fundamentally change our relationship with ExxonMobil, but is a major milestone in our journey to become the premier and most respected car wash equipment and service supplier in the industry.
